Qualifications

  • CIMA or ACCA qualification preferred, or part qualified.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Desirable to have experience with Sage 200.

Responsibilities

  • Own month-end reporting for your sites.
  • Prepare and post journals, produce monthly P&L and balance sheet reports.
  • Review GRNI and general ledger entries.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
  • Deliver daily financial KPIs and highlight key P&L drivers.
  • Support audit processes.

Skills

Compensation: £40,000 - £44,000 / year

Description

We’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Commercial Finance team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with hybrid working. You’ll earn a competitive salary of £40,000–£44,000, depending on experience.

As our Management Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of the business—owning accurate month-end and flash reporting and turning numbers into meaningful insight that drives performance.

You’ll also work on high-impact projects designed to strengthen our financial systems and controls, giving you real exposure and influence. If you enjoy digging into the detail, spotting trends, and telling the story behind the numbers while identifying the key drivers of cost and revenue, this is an opportunity to make a tangible difference.

Key Responsibilities of our Management Accountant:
  • Own month-end reporting for your sites – deliver accurate, on-time reports with real insight behind the numbers
  • Prepare and post journals, and produce monthly P&L and balance sheet reports
  • Review GRNI and general ledger entries with a keen eye for detail
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items efficiently
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver daily financial KPIs and highlight key P&L drivers
  • Maintain and improve financial governance – support SOP compliance and implementation
  • Raise customer invoices and investigate queries to ensure smooth resolution
  • Support audit processes and ensure all purchasing, invoicing, and capex policies are followed
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • CIMA / ACCA qualified or part qualified
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of Sage 200 is desirable
  • Experience of month end accounts preparation and reporting
  • Analytical mindset, commercial awareness, and confidence to work with our stakeholders
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret operational date and financial models
  • Capability of working on cross functional assignments and developing client relationships alongside multiple stakeholders
