A Maintenance Care Technician takes responsibility for delivering a broad set of regulatory, planned and reactive maintenance services, to ensure our client’s premises are fit for both customers and colleagues. You are skilled in delivering general maintenance and will work closely with the café team and our suppliers to deliver excellent customer experiences. You are the custodian of maintenance standards and are an able problem solver, taking ownership of problems to resolution. You always work safely and promote safe working practices. You are field based with responsibility for multiple sites.

Responsibilities
  • Assessing the risks to self, customers and colleagues prior to starting work, and implementing measures to control the risks identified.
  • Being visible, attentive, courteous and responsive.
  • Coordinating, reviewing and challenging supplier activity and standards.
  • Providing guidance to site teams to prevent unnecessary maintenance.
  • Owning tasks through to resolution.
  • Communicating clearly and being comfortable to manage expectations.
  • Working unsupervised to undertake regular and varied works as part of preventative and reactive tasks.
  • Prioritising work to ensure people are safe and minimise impact to trade.
  • Delivering KPIs through planned and preventative maintenance, and ensuring reactive fixes are achieved within service targets.
  • Using the systems available to accurately record work completed, including times to complete and root cause of issues, as well as providing effective descriptions for further works which need to be raised.
  • Meeting legal, compliance and health and safety standards.
  • Asset label maintenance and asset condition reporting.
  • Avoiding trade and operational impacts by planning out of hours activity.
What does it take?

Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to travel to various sites within Solihull, working Monday to Friday 06.00am to 14.30pm.
