Location: St Mary’s Catholic Primary School
Grade: Grade B, SCP 3 (£24,796 per annum, pro rata)
Hours: 5 hours per Week, FTC to 31.08.2026, TTO

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is a one-form entry primary school in Whickham, Gateshead serving the communities of St Mary’s, Whickham and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Lobley Hill. The Headteacher and Governors would like to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to assist staff to supervise pupils during the lunch time period to ensure the wellbeing and safety of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Offer care and support to pupils throughout lunchtime in accordance with school and Trust policies and procedures.
• Supervise children during lunchtimes in school and on the playground.
• Encourage children with food, promoting good manners and healthy choices.
• Assist to clear tables, wipe down and maintain general cleanliness of the lunch area.
• Communicate effectively with pupils and staff, maintaining good behaviour according to the school’s behaviour policy.
