A leading global snacks company is seeking a LogOps Planning and Performance Manager to enhance their logistics network performance in Birmingham. The successful candidate will take charge of warehouse operations, ensuring cost control and compliance while leading a team. With a focus on logistics strategy towards 2030, you will collaborate cross-functionally and negotiate effectively with third-party logistics partners. Ideal candidates have significant experience in FMCG and strong analytical skills to manage operations efficiently.
In this role you will support and lead the performance of the logistics network in both the short and long term. In the short term you will work across the Log Ops UK&I team to ensure the optimum performance of the network, through development of effective cost controls and KPIs to ensure that the network and our 3PLs are delivering to target and supporting the delivery of products to our customers at best cost and performance. You will also lead the seasonal network planning process, modelling network capabilities to assess requirements for the seasonal peaks and ensuring that the network has sufficient firepower to deliver, whilst also working closely with finance and MEU teams to ensure that costs are managed to budget and projections. You will also govern process and procedure within the Log Ops team to ensure legal and policy compliance, and work across the team to support on core operational matters as required.
Longer term focus will also be required in a number of areas, namely supporting the local Procurement teams on transport & warehouse tenders as required, but also leading the development of network strategy for the UK&I as we head towards 2030, working cross functionally and with external partners to shape the forward network design strategy and transition plans / operational implications of the network in context of future business changes and plans.

The role supports end-to-end logistics (physical flows from plants to customers), including all warehouse, transport and co‑packing operations, in terms of service & cost.
The role works collaboratively with internal and external (third‑party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions and execution.
