Job description

Weekly hours: Part-Time (28 hours per week over 4 days)

Based at: Poulton Wood Nature Reserve, Forge Hill, Aldington

Salary: £18,039.94 per annum

Do you love working with people and have a passion for practical skills and the outdoors? We’re looking for a Life Skills Tutor to join our friendly team at Poulton Wood. In this beautiful woodland setting, you’ll help people with learning disabilities build confidence and achieve their goals through creative, hands‑on activities. This is your chance to make a real difference every day.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning sessions tailored to each person.
  • Support learners to develop practical skills and independence in a safe, positive environment.
  • Keep accurate records and share progress updates with families and carers.
  • Get involved in woodland projects and events that make learning fun and meaningful.
What we’re looking for:
  • Great communication skills and a caring, patient approach.
  • Practical skills and the ability to plan activities that inspire.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities is a bonus.
  • Extra advantage: Green woodworking, carpentry, or woodland management skills.
