Job summary

A leading care provider in Burton-on-Trent is seeking Support Workers to join a new residential care home designed for individuals with learning disabilities. This role provides an opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives by offering support with daily activities and promoting independence. Full training and development are offered, with competitive pay and additional benefits such as a referral bonus and pension scheme. Applicants must be 18 or older due to the vulnerable nature of those supported.

Qualifications

  • No prior experience in the care sector needed as full training is provided.
  • Must be over 18 due to the vulnerable nature of those supported.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily routines for individuals in the care unit.
  • Promote independence and personal skill development through various activities.
  • Assist with healthcare needs by accompanying to appointments.
  • Teach life skills, including budgeting and shopping.
  • Provide cooking and cleaning support as needed.

We’re delighted to announce the upcoming launch of a brand-new residential care home designed to support up to six adults with Learning Disabilities.

Opening in 2025, our new service will set a new benchmark for high-quality, person-centered care. Our mission is to create a warm, supportive environment where every individual is empowered to thrive, grow, and live a fulfilling life.

We’re looking for compassionate, committed Support Workers to join our brand-new team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something truly special right from the start.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
