Job summary

A leading retail company in Luton is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Specialist. You will design, deliver, and evaluate engaging training programmes that promote operational excellence and support employee development. This role demands previous training experience and a passion for people development. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and possess excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in training delivery, ideally in retail, hospitality, or travel sectors.
  • Passion for people development and strong understanding of customer experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct training needs analysis and contribute to the annual training calendar.
  • Deliver training programmes from the company’s global catalogue.
  • Develop bespoke training content to meet local business needs.
  • Deliver engaging in-person and virtual sessions across a range of topics.
  • Coach employees and managers on the shop floor.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback and performance outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate training records and report progress to management.
  • Collaborate with HR and Store Management to identify learning gaps.
  • Actively promote a learning culture that reflects company values.
