A leading fintech company in Greater London seeks a Lead Product Manager to spearhead the launch of a new car finance credit product. This role requires hands-on delivery across multiple teams, navigating ambiguity while focusing on commercial success. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in fintech or technology startups, strong B2B client experience, and the ability to make informed decisions about pricing and product performance. The position offers equity, hybrid work, and generous holidays.
We’re redefining consumer lending in the UK, and beyond. Using advanced AI and Open Banking data, we make fair, affordable personal finance available to more people. While traditional lenders rely almost entirely on credit scores, we look at the full financial picture - how much you spend, and what you can afford to repay to build a deeper, more accurate understanding of each customer's unique financial situation.
And we’ve shown it works at scale. We’ve issued over £1.3bn in loans directly to customers while delivering market‑leading credit performance - for every 10 defaults the industry expects, we see only 3. We also reached profitability just 2.5 years after launch.
Backed by £2bn+ of funding from top‑tier investors including Citi, GSR Ventures, and Deutsche Bank, we’re recognised as one of Europe’s fastest‑growing fintechs (Sifted, CNBC). Now, we’re expanding into new markets and product lines - and we’re looking for ambitious people who want to learn fast, take ownership, and grow with us.
We’re expanding access to affordable credit and we’re doing it by launching new credit products that genuinely move the needle. Our next major focus is launching a new car finance credit product, bringing Abound’s unique technology to a new and complex market.
As a Lead Product Manager, you will own the end‑to‑end delivery and success of this product – from idea to launch, and from launch to scale. This is a hands‑on, high‑accountability role. You’ll work closely with external partners and internal teams across engineering, data science, compliance, and operations.
This role is not about maintaining an existing roadmap. It’s about navigating ambiguity, making pragmatic decisions, and doing whatever it takes to get a product live, working, and commercially successful.
