As a KS1 Class Teacher, you will ensure high‑quality teaching and learning for all pupils, supporting their academic, social and emotional development. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, maintain accurate records, and provide guidance to pupils on educational and social matters. You will also take responsibility for the pastoral care of your class, promote positive behaviour and safeguard pupils’ well‑being. Beyond the classroom, you will contribute to the school’s extra‑curricular programme and participate in staff development initiatives. Collaboration is also key; you will work closely with colleagues, parents and external bodies to uphold the school’s ethos and values.
This is a one‑year fixed‑term Maternity Cover contract.

You are an enthusiastic and flexible teacher who loves working with young children and understands the importance of early childhood development. You have strong classroom management skills, are well‑organised, creative, and committed to driving improvement. You hold a university degree and Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE or equivalent) and bring prior teaching experience. You value professional growth, have high expectations for achievement and behaviour, and communicate effectively with staff, parents and pupils. Experience in the independent sector is desirable.
