An innovative educational organization is seeking a KTP Associate to lead a project on digital reading log innovation. The role involves daily management of the project, data analysis, and enhancements of the reading log software. Successful candidates should possess a graduate degree and strong project management skills. This unique opportunity includes collaboration with top academics, aimed at improving parental engagement in learning. We're looking for someone who can work independently and proactively, making a significant impact on educational practices across schools.
UCL and Learning with Parents are coming together through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), a national scheme which helps organisations to innovate and grow, by linking them with a university and a highly-qualified graduate, known as a KTP Associate. We are now recruiting for a KTP Associate who will work full-time on this innovative project putting the latest academic research into practice, based at Learning with Parents.
This is a unique opportunity to gain enterprise and strategic skills and experience, working within a dynamic organisation and working alongside world-leading academics on an innovative and scientifically rigorous project.
The KTP Associate is responsible for the day-to-day running of the project. The Associate will be expected to show initiative and independence of thought in applied research and embedding knowledge. Learning with Parents supports all families to have positive learning interactions together and leads the sector to learn what works in tackling inequality. In partnership with over 260 primary schools, they support families across the UK to enjoy learning together at home. Families are motivated to sustain and enjoy frequent and positive interactions at home.
Learning with Parents’ parental engagement journey with schools starts by focussing on reading. Their digital reading log is an inclusive way for schools and families to record reading, replacing physical reading records. Their full Maths and English programme builds on the positive habits fostered by our reading log. It replaces traditional maths and English homework with fun activities which have parent-child interaction at their heart. Through behavioural insight research, innovative technology and teacher training we ensure that as many families as possible are supported effectively. Learning with Parents working to improve parental engagement across the sector, by producing evidence of parents’ impact and generating insights into how schools can best support them.
