Location: Cottenham Court Care Home, High Street, Cottenham, Cambridge, CB24 8SS.

CQC rating: Good. Carehome.co.uk rating: 9.9.

Salary: £12.80 – £13.80 depending on experience.

Contract: Permanent.

Hours: 22 hours each week, shifts between 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., alternating weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the link between the main kitchen and our residents.
  • Assist chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep preparation areas clean and tidy.
  • Monitor stock rotation and comply with company policies, COSHH and HACPP guidelines.
  • Assist with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed for this Role:

Passion for food, previous kitchen experience, and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Deliver excellent service at each meal, maintain high standards, and communicate effectively with the kitchen and care teams.
