Job description
Junior Broker (Medical Malpractice Indemnity)

THEMIS are industry experts who have used our unique expertise in the healthcare litigation sector to build a highly specialised, disruptive, contractual healthcare defence scheme, capable of providing robust protection for doctors and hospitals against modern litigation challenges facing the healthcare profession.

This position is in THEMIS’s private client’s sales team. Following a period of intensive one to one training, your role on a day-to-day basis will involve:

  • Fostering long-term relationships with clients
  • Helping clients understand the unique THEMIS offering (explaining key facts, policy documents, key benefits)
  • Assisting with the general sales process in line with ongoing marketing strategies
  • Ensuring day-to-day tasks are completed, as driven by THEMIS’s policy management system.

THEMIS have clear progression opportunities available for individuals who excel in the role and have a passion to specialise in medical malpractice insurance.

  • Experience in a sales role, or a desire to excel in this environment which is driven by sales targets and time sensitive sales closures.
  • THEMIS is a complex insurance product and you must be capable of understanding complex insurance/medical terminology and concepts, therefore a minimum 2:1 degree is desirable but not essential.
  • General awareness of the FCA requirements in relation to insurance sales.
  • You will be continually writing emails and speaking to clients over the telephone, therefore you will need to have excellent writing and communication skills.
  • You will be responsible for autonomously managing a high volume of sales enquiries and must ensure that THEMIS’s services are delivered effectively at all times; it is, therefore, essential you are able to effectively manage your time and handle multiple tasks in a confident, efficient and timely manner.
  • You will be reviewing large amounts of information, usually at speed, therefore you must have an eye for detail so you can detect issues at a glance.
  • You will be working independently (once you are fully trained), therefore you must be very self- motivated and self-disciplined.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK (without requiring a visa or sponsorship).
  • An exciting fast-paced progressive company.
  • Long term career options available.
  • 1:1 training and support during an initial training period.
  • Clear career path for you as you progress after hitting promotion targets
  • A modern state of the art new-build office located a stone’s throw from Ashford International train station.
