Qualifications

# IT Desktop and Field Engineer## Job Introduction**IT Desktop and Field Engineer****Location: Derby****Hours: Full time 37.5 Permanent****Salary: ( Band 4 ) £27,273**As a member of the IT Operations Team the post holder will have a focus on ensuring the delivery of highly performing, reliable, responsive and resilient IT and Telephony services at all operational sites throughout the East Midlands.**Key Responsibilities:*** Working in Desktop and Field engineer support capacities, working closely with 3rd party partners or colleagues to resolve incidents, service requests and problems* Carry out regular operational checks and activity to proactively reduce the risk of incidents impacting the operation of the IT & Telecoms services. This will include carrying out preventative maintenance* Maintain an accurate and timely record of all reported incidents, workarounds and resolutions within the DHU Service Desk toolset* Adhere to all processes and procedures for the delivery of secure and reliable IT & Telecoms services including Incident, Problem and Change Management processes* The role will primarily be focused on managing, maintaining, troubleshooting and resolving issues relating to end user computing, including telephony and mobile telephony equipment at multiple DHU locations throughout the East Midlands* Desktop, desktop infrastructure, fixes and mobile telephony management, maintenance and fault resolution.* Support the investigation and resolution of end computing issues* Contribute to the development of adequate arrangements for the operation of IT & Telecoms services.
