A regional development organization in Tees Valley seeks an Investment Development Officer to support key projects and connect workstreams within the Investment Development Team. The role emphasizes building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, assisting in the delivery of priorities and implementing effective management systems. As Investment Development Officer you will support and connect all key workstreams for the Investment Development Team. You will build and develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, assisting with the development and delivery of key projects and working collaboratively with all teams to ensure key priorities are delivered. You will support the policy and economic intelligence functions as they align with the broader work of the team.
You will assist the Senior Development Manager, Head of Investment Development, and other colleagues in delivering the actions and priorities of the team by implementing and maintaining appropriate systems and documentation to enable effective management of all workstreams. You will be able to translate this work as it contributes to the wider priorities of the combined authority and partners.

The TVCA Investment Development team provides Economic Intelligence, Policy Development, and Programme & Project Development. We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and knowledgeable person to join the team. It is a busy time as we work to strengthen our evidence base, work with government to influence and translate national policy to meet local need, and work with the public and private sector to develop and secure investment for projects that will deliver our ambitions.

Working in the TVCA Investment Development Team provides many opportunities to work on innovative approaches and develop your skills across the whole TVCA portfolio, including the Mayoral Development Corporations in Middlesbrough and Hartlepool, the Tees Valley Investment Zone and further devolution.
You will be organised, adaptable, and good at building strong relationships with clients. We are looking for someone with strong transferable skills and experience. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, collaborative, focused, with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to support multiple projects and programmes working across multi‑disciplinary teams.
