Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related Human Services field required.
  • 2-3 years in substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including intake/admissions and managed care experience preferred.
  • Nursing license required if candidate is a nurse.

Responsibilities

Roxbury Treatment Center is currently hiring full-time Intake Counselors to work in our admissions department.

Shifts available -Evening and Overnight are 5 eight-hour shifts per week. Per Diem Staff also needed for all shifts.

Job Role/Responsibilities
  • The Intake Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers.
  • The Intake Counselor works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.
  • Also initiates the referral and admission process by determining appropriate level of care needs in conjunction with the physician/provider.
  • The Intake Counselor is also responsible for initiating and maintaining communication with referral sources.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a other related Human Services field require – OR – Registered Nurse,

Experience: 2-3 years in the area of substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.

License: License is not required unless candidate is a nurse, then active nursing license in the State of Pennsylvania is required.
