Job summary

A consulting firm is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and improve a Microsoft centric infrastructure in Leatherhead. This hands-on position involves designing and supporting Windows Server environments, managing Office 365, and administering SCCM. Infrastructure Engineer – £500PD – (Inside IR35) – Leatherhead

I am looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a client of mine based in Leatherhead. This is a hands‑on role supporting, maintaining and improving a Microsoft centric infrastructure in a secure and well‑managed environment. The role will require three days per week on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
  • Administer and optimise Office 365 / Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and Azure AD
  • Manage endpoint configuration and deployment using SCCM
  • Support and maintain Citrix environments
  • Develop and maintain automation and administration scripts using PowerShell
  • Plan, implement and monitor security patching across servers and endpoints
  • Ensure systems are secure, resilient and compliant with best practices
  • Provide 3rd‑line support and contribute to infrastructure projects and upgrades
  • Maintain clear technical documentation
Experience:
  • Strong experience in Windows Server engineering
  • Proven hands‑on experience with Office 365 / Microsoft 365
  • Solid knowledge of SCCM for application deployment and patch management
  • Experience supporting Citrix (Virtual Apps/Desktops)
  • Practical PowerShell scripting skills
  • Strong understanding of security patching, vulnerability management and system hardening
  • Experience working in structured IT environments with change control
