IT Infrastructure Analyst – Piramal Pharma Solutions, Morpeth
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot IT systems infrastructure function at the Piramal Pharma Solutions site at Morpeth.
- Act as a level 3 technical escalation for onsite IT support engineers and occasional consultants/contractors on project‑specific work.
- Monitor key service metrics (quality measures, customer satisfaction ratings, service level objectives, etc.) against plan and adjust processes as appropriate.
- Provide technical assessment and design support to IT operations and application teams for appropriate IT infrastructure setup.
- Coordinate with Corporate IT and/or vendors for level 2/3 support and other complex issues that may require advanced technical assessments and changes to existing solution components.
- Establish priorities, timelines, and ensure appropriate resources are available for projects/initiatives.
- Produce regular reports to operational management regarding IT operations and updates related to infrastructure.
- Work on one or more projects concurrently while being responsible for the support and maintenance of existing IT infrastructure setup.
Competencies & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Professional certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, VCP, CCNA/CCNP desirable.
- Excellent IT skills with exposure to end‑user services technologies and products.
- Strong diagnostic skills and working knowledge of current technologies.
- Intermediate understanding of datacenter, networking and security services and technologies.
- Keep current with emerging security alerts and issues.
- Ability to learn or research new and emerging technologies, trends, etc. as required.
- Proven project planning and management experience.
- Business Intelligence experience desirable.
- Strong SQL/Oracle database administration desirable.
- Ability to build and develop both formal and informal professional networks.
- Volunteer to identify and address existing and potential obstacles, issues, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with other members (local onsite IT support, stakeholders, corporate IT infrastructure, etc.) in pursuit of common missions, vision, values and mutual goals.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate technical and business concepts, ideas, opinions and conclusions orally and in writing.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant IT experience.
- Cisco qualification, VMware qualification, Microsoft server qualification.
Relevant Experience
- Minimum 3 years of IT infrastructure experience covering networking to platform and high availability design.
- Minimum 3 years of work on IT infrastructure migration project experience.
- Experience working in a mid‑to‑large organization, ideally in the pharmaceutical manufacturing vertical.
