Job description

The Industrial Engineering role will be incorporated into the Manufacturing Engineering department, responsible for establishing and continuously improving the organization, competencies, processes, tools, and standards across all manufacturing locations. This role partners with manufacturing, engineering, and supporting functions to effectively bring new products to market and create world-class operations in areas such as primaries, welding, paint, assembly, packing/bundling, load building, and other core manufacturing processes. The position also aims to foster a culture of change, transformation, and development through continuous improvement and lean principles.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in driving and implementing continuous improvement efforts
  • Strong team, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and exercise sound judgment
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills at all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Self-motivated and action-oriented
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems such as ERP, MES, SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD
  • Data analytics support for departmental and functional needs
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead large, complex projects impacting the organization
  • Conduct constraint analysis and capacity planning; support improvements in manufacturing layouts, equipment, workforce, and technology
  • Collaborate in new product development emphasizing design for manufacturability, seamless launch, and post-launch ownership in labor standards, layouts, and flow
  • Focus on safety, ergonomics, quality, first pass yield, material flow, inventory reduction, cost reduction, product availability, capacity, and productivity
  • Stay current with industry best practices and incorporate advancements into products and processes
  • Make decisions to resolve manufacturing issues, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met
  • Support process and equipment development, including capital justification and procurement
  • Develop and implement safe, ergonomic, robust, and balanced manufacturing processes
  • Create process documents, work instructions, and accurate costing
  • Deploy and monitor labor production targets in real-time
  • Implement continuous improvement tools such as DFM, FMEA, and Lean initiatives
  • Promote and develop a culture of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
