ICT Officer (Support/Development) - Fixed term until 30/10/2026

Salary: £33,287 - £39,129 per annum

Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks

Customer and Digital Services has a 9 month full-time vacancy for a motivated individual to provide day to day IT support as well as support for ongoing projects within Digital Services for Human Resources. You will work in an exciting and dynamic environment which is at the heart of business change throughout the Council.

Essential

You will be part of the HR Digital Support Team and will work closely with other team members to assist in the management of HR's core IT systems with emphasis on Oracle in line with the Council's Digital Strategy. You will contribute to the ongoing development and support of these systems.

The role is full-time and is based at Council Headquarters, Waverley Court 3.3, 4 East Market Street.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience of Oracle or similar HR system. You will have exceptional communication and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines. You should have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment whilst being creative and innovative in providing solutions to digital challenges.

You should be flexible, proactive and customer driven, embracing change and keeping up to date with emerging technologies. The successful candidate will work in close co-operation with other business areas to help maintain and develop their core IT systems. You will be responsible for providing helpdesk and project support as well as driving and delivering business process changes and support future developments.
