We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Industrial Placement to join our team in Bristol. This is your chance to see what working in HR is really like - from the big picture to the day-to-day detail. Over 12 months you’ll get stuck in across the HR function, from HR admin and Reward & Benefits to Belonging, Equity & Engagement, and Learning & Development.

It’s the perfect way to learn how all the pieces fit together; shaping our culture, supporting our people, and helping Unite Students attract and grow the talent that makes student living better.

What You’ll Be Doing

No two days will look the same. You’ll roll up your sleeves and get involved in everything from day-to-day support to big-impact projects. For example, you might:

  • Help bring our annual Employee Awards to life
  • Support HR admin and rewards activities that make a real difference
  • Play a part in rolling out training and development across the business
  • Build great relationships with colleagues and partners along the way
  • Use data to tell stories and spark improvements
  • Take ownership of your own projects (with the team cheering you on)

It’s a placement that will stretch your skills, grow your confidence, and give you real insight into how HR drives the business forward.

What We’re Looking for in You

We’re not after the finished article - we’re looking for curiosity, energy, and a passion for people. You’ll be:

  • Working towards an undergraduate degree such as HR, Business Studies, Psychology or similar
  • Looking for a 12-month placement before your final year of study
  • Ready to build positive, collaborative relationships
  • Confident with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Organised, eager to learn, and up for solving problems

Most of all, you’ll be someone who wants to make a difference and grab every opportunity to learn along the way.
