Job summary

A local primary school is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support education in a dynamic environment. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to engage and motivate children. Salary – Thurrock Band 4 (Point 12-20 depending on experience)

5 Days a week

30 hours a week, 8.45am-3.15pm 30 minute unpaid break

39 weeks of the year – Term time only + Inset days

Start Date: 1st January 26

CCT are looking to employ a highly motivated and dedicated classroom practitioner with excellent organisational skills and a good rapport with children to be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).

Responsibilities
  • Have already completed the HLTA Qualification or NVQ Level 4 or equivalent (Desirable, but not essential)
  • Have GCSE grades A-C in English and Maths
  • Understand teaching and learning and be committed to raising standards
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Have the ability to engage, inspire, motivate and build relationships with children
Main Duties
  • To cover whole classes under direction of the teacher
  • To deliver catch‑up and intervention programmes
  • To support identified individuals/groups in class as required
