The Role As a Health & Safety Advisor, you willplay a key role in supporting our People, Safety and Compliance team to ensurea safe, healthy, and compliant workplace for all staff, visitors, andcontractors at our Sorted Christchurch site. You will collaborate closely with operational teams to leadH&S improvement programs, and help foster a culture of safety excellence,enterprise-wide!
The position provides technical safety advice, training, and will be the“go-to” H&S expert across risk assessment, injury prevention, incidentreporting, and monitoring compliance; among other responsibilities! Mostimportantly, you will influence and build capability through forward thinking,people centric, initiatives

What You’ll Do

  • Actas a trusted Health and Safety Advisor on all Health and safety matters atour Hornby, Christchurch site
  • Championthe implementation and continuous improvement of health and safetypractices across the business.
  • Collaboratewith operational leaders to integrate safety into daily processes.
  • Providetechnical guidance and practical solutions to improve workplace safety
  • Supportthe identification and management of workplace hazards and risks.
  • Helpcoordinate safety training, inductions, and awareness programs.
  • Participatein incident investigations and contribute to reporting and follow-upactions.
  • Promotea positive safety culture by engaging with staff and supporting safetyinitiatives.
  • Maintainaccurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Provenexperience inhealth and safety advisory roles, ideallywithintransport, logistics or operations but other industriesconsidered if experience is there
  • Strongknowledge ofindustrial health and safety systems, legislation and compliance,and risk management.
  • Excellentcommunication skills with the ability to influence and build relationshipsat all levels.
  • IntermediateExcel skills and strong process management capability.
  • Abilityto work cross functionally and ‘muck in’
