About the school
We are a highly respected, hardworking school community with an excellent reputation for being inclusive, caring and dedicated. We are a popular four-form entry Junior School with over 450 pupils on roll and we have strong links with our partner Infant School. We share a site and a vision to work together to provide the best opportunities for children in our care.
Whilst we are a large school, we have a strong emphasis on creating an environment that feels like one family. This has been enabled through structures and organisation which have created a calm and supportive environment for pupils and staff.

The Role
As Headteacher, you will provide strategic direction, leadership and management for the school, driving excellence and improvement. You will work with all stakeholders to ensure all our pupils succeed in achieving their full potential and maintain a culture where pupils experience a positive and enriching school life.

Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation; appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)

Shortlisting will take place on Monday 23 rd February 2026, and we will inform all candidates of the outcome by email.
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 11 th and Thursday 12 th March 2026. Further shortlisting may take place at the end of the first day, with candidates informed of the decisions by telephone.
Interviews will involve a selection of activities to assess candidates in line with the person specification for the role. Further information on the process will be given with the invitation to interview.
