Job Overview
Role: Head of Delivery (Lead Delivery, Pre‑Sales, Project Management)
Salary: £DOE / yr, plus benefits
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to Delivery, Pre‑Sales and Project Management teams.
- Regularly assess customer feedback to identify trends and implement initiatives that improve service and satisfaction.
- Oversee pre‑sales function, ensuring solutions are accurately scoped and commercially sound.
- Own the end‑to‑end delivery of customer projects across connectivity, unified communications, voice, and mobile services.
- Ensure operational compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls for the operations function.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to enhance the customer journey and ensure seamless handover between departments.
Role Requirements
- Proven leadership experience within delivery, operations, or programme management, ideally in telecoms, IT, or managed services.
- Strong track record of leading cross‑functional teams across Delivery, Pre‑Sales, and Project Management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute operational strategies that drive performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts and cost control.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using KPIs, metrics, and data to inform decision‑making.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience driving operational excellence, process optimisation and organisational scalability.
- In‑depth understanding of project delivery methodologies (ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile) and embedding best‑practice frameworks.
