A leading player in the supply chain industry is recruiting multiple Goods In Operatives for its Distribution Centre in Haydock. Responsibilities include receiving, checking, and booking in stock while ensuring goods are processed efficiently. Ideal candidates will have experience in a warehouse setting, a positive attitude, and be willing to work in ambient or chilled environments. Competitive hourly pay of £12.89 is offered with immediate starts available.

Goods In Operative Ambient, Chilled and Freezer Environment

Location: Haydock, WA11
Pay: £12.89 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00
Start: Immediate
Contract: Temporary ongoing

Must pass a drug and alcohol test and a DBS checks

A leading player in the supply chain industry is recruiting multiple Goods In Operatives for its Haydock Distribution Centre. You will be responsible for receiving, checking and booking in stock to ensure goods are accurately processed and ready for distribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working in ambient, chilled or freezer environments (PPE and additional breaks provided)
  • Receiving inbound deliveries and unloading vehicles
  • Checking goods against delivery notes and documentation
  • Inspecting stock for damage or discrepancies
  • Booking stock into the warehouse management system using hand scanners
  • Moving stock to designated storage locations using manual handling equipment such as pallet trucks, PPTs and trolley
  • Ensuring stock is stored safely and correctly
  • Picking and packing products
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised goods in area
  • Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily intake targets
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred, particularly goods in
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • PPT experience (valid licence desirable)
  • Willingness to work in chilled or freezer areas
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety standards
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol test and a DBS checks
