Join Buro Happold and lead our global Health & Safety strategy. We’re looking for an experienced and visionary Global Health & Safety Manager to shape and drive our approach to safety across all regions. Acting as a deputy competent person for the firm, you’ll ensure compliance with international standards while embedding a culture of safety excellence.

The role will be based from our Bath office with hybrid working.

What you’ll do
  • Lead and evolve our global Health & Safety strategy.
  • Act as a key advisor and subject matter expert for global H&S law, office safety, and construction safety.
  • Oversee compliance with UK CDM Regulations, EU directives, OSHA, OSHAD, ILO standards, and more.
  • Monitor global H&S performance, analyse trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver global H&S training programs.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, clients, and enforcement agencies.
  • Report proactive safety measures to regional boards and leadership teams.
What we’re looking for
  • At least 10 years’ experience as a senior technical leader in a multi‑disciplinary consulting environment.
  • Chartered safety practitioner (CMIOSH) or working towards.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and auditing practices.
  • Proven ability to influence, mentor, and build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Global mindset with knowledge of UK, EU, OSHA, OSHAD, and international H&S legislation.
