Non-Executive Director – Glamorgan County Cricket Club

Glamorgan CCC is seeking a Non-Executive Director to join its Board. The Board provides strategic leadership, ensures strong governance, and supports the Club in delivering its vision to Make Wales Proud through its mission and long-term objectives for the benefit of members, stakeholders and the wider community.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who can offer independent insight, constructive challenge and a genuine commitment to the Club’s values and ambitions. Candidates from a wide range of professional backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Current Skills Priorities
  • Media, Public Relations and Communications – to enhance the Club’s profile, stakeholder engagement and community outreach.
  • Legal or Governance expertise – desirable but not essential.
Core Elements of the Role
  • Strategy: Shape and challenge the Club’s long-term vision and strategic direction.
  • Performance: Oversee leadership performance and organisational outcomes.
  • Risk: Ensure financial integrity and robust risk management systems.
  • Reputation: Promote confidence in the Club’s governance and uphold its values.
Time Commitment & Remuneration
  • Board meetings: Approximately every 8 weeks (in person at Sophia Gardens, with virtual attendance possible).
  • AGM: Annual attendance required (March, at Sophia Gardens).
  • Club events: Attendance at selected official events, matches and presentations on an “as available” basis.
  • Remuneration: This is a voluntary, unpaid non-executive role.
