General Manager – Perrys Vauxhall Canterbury

Hours: To be discussed

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Perrys is one of the UK’s largest car dealership groups, operating since 1908 with over 50 branches nationwide. We’re an official franchised dealer for many of the country’s top car and commercial vehicle brands, including Ford, Kia, Mazda, and Vauxhall.

General Manager Duties
  • Manage a large, diverse team encompassing Aftersales, Car Sales, and back-office staff. Ensure a seamless integration into the existing team, maintaining operational continuity and morale.
  • Oversee all dealership operations, including sales, service, and administration, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer service experience, fostering long-term relationships and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet or exceed budget targets, driving profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set and execute business strategies, aligning departmental goals with overall company objectives.
Key Requirements
  • Previous experience as General manager or similar.
  • Demonstrated success in a senior management role within the automotive industry, such as General Manager, Brand Manager, or Head of Business.
  • Strong financial literacy with the capability to analyse and interpret performance data to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, essential for internal collaboration and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Full UK driving licence
