Role Overview

Due to the continued success and growth of our Facilities Management division we currently have an opportunity for a General Labourer to join the Project Team. The candidate will work as part of a Building Works team, carrying out works across our wide range of Framework Contracts, providing excellent service to our clients.

What You’ll Do
  • Work on Minor Works projects carrying out general building labourer duties such as decorative repairs, flooring preparation, plastering patch repairs, tiling, cleaning, waste management, demolition works, core drilling, cutting openings.
  • Be proactive in managing and undertaking work and be client focused in the delivery of the work.
  • Work in line with company Health & Safety Policy, Rules and Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to delivering projects in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, material handling and safety at all times.
  • Keep the works area clean and clear following completion.
  • Ensure that each job is completed snag free and to client’s satisfaction.
  • Take before and after photos of each job and process onto task management systems.
  • Maintain and update the company Mobile Management Information Systems.
  • Represent the company in a competent and professional manner.
  • Comply with the Clients Building Estates Rules and Regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required from time to time depending on the needs of the business.
Job Measurement
  • Completion of tasks on time and to the required standards.
  • Client/Customer satisfaction for all tasks.

As a General Labourer your main skills and experience will include:

Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrate relevant building labourer works training or equivalent experience.
  • Significant relevant experience carrying out general labourer works duties detailed above.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Experience working as part of a building team to complete projects.
  • Have excellent knowledge of safe and effective working.
  • Have great communication skills.
  • Be able to work on your own initiative with a flexible and problem-solving approach.
  • Possess a full valid driving license.
Desirable
  • Experience working within a hospital maintenance environment.
  • Working knowledge of Mobile Management Information Systems.
