Gas Safe Heating Engineer – Reading

A field‑based role with a private sector heating contractor. You will diagnose, repair and maintain domestic heating systems across a wide range of properties.

Location: Reading

Work Type: Annual Service Visits, Landlord Gas Safety Records, Central Heating Repairs

Work Load: 6‑8 pre‑booked appointments per day, minimum 3 days per week, optional weekends and evenings available at enhanced rates.

Payment: Weekly payments in arrears; invoiced on your behalf – no chasing customers for payment.

Rates:

  • Repairs: £3.37 per completed property (full van stock and parts supplied)
  • Linked Repair: £0.75 plus Annual Service Visit Rate (if repair required at Annual Gas Safety Check)
  • Optional out‑of‑hours and weekend work available at enhanced rates.
  • Local work supplied; van stock, PPE, uniform, kit supplied.
  • Flexible workload, 6‑8 jobs per day plus additional jobs from planning team.
  • All appointments pre‑booked via tablet device (provided). Tablet includes Exsol computer diagnosis system – diagnostics within 10 checks.
  • Long‑term ongoing contract with consistent regular work all year round.

Requirements:

  • 2 years qualified experience as a heating engineer.
  • ACS qualifications including CKR1 (Gas Cookers) & HTR1 (Gas Fires).
  • Panel van, calibrated flue gas analyser.
  • £2m Public Liability Insurance.
  • No unspent criminal convictions.
Gas Engineer – Commercial & Domestic – Reading

A well‑established building services provider seeks an experienced Gas Engineer to support contract growth in the Reading area. Responsibilities include repair, maintenance and installation of commercial and domestic gas and heating systems across a varied property portfolio.

Salary: £50,000 plus van and fuel card.

Junior Service Engineer – ACS / Gas Safe – Reading

£33,000‑£36,000 (OTE £33,000‑£36,000) plus overtime, door‑to‑door pay, company van, fuel card, flexible hours, training, qualification support, progression, company benefits.

Offshore Oil & Gas Field Engineer – Remote

Fully remote role within a global offshore energy company. Key responsibilities:

  • Day‑to‑day technical operations of offshore fields.
  • Compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
  • Operational plans, maintenance schedules, production targets.
  • Production performance monitoring, issue identification, corrective actions.
  • Technical teamwork with onshore engineering, supply chain, HSE.
  • Equipment integrity and maintenance programmes.
  • Technical reports, operational summaries, performance analyses.
  • Mentor junior field engineers.
  • Risk assessments, HAZOP studies, incident investigations.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies, enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5–7 years offshore field operations experience.
  • Knowledge of reservoir management, production optimisation, hydrocarbon processing.
  • Offshore safety regulation, environmental standards, emergency response competence.
  • Experience with topsides facilities, subsea infrastructure.
  • Analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making skills.
  • Leadership, communication, interpersonal abilities.
  • Remote collaboration skills, independent work.
  • Travel for offshore rotations (2‑4 weeks on/off).
  • Valid offshore survival certification (BOSIET/FOET).
Process Engineer – Reading

Design, optimise and troubleshoot chemical processes within the oil and gas industry. Key duties:

  • Process simulation, modelling using industry software.
  • Process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Process data analysis, efficiency improvements.
  • Process improvements to reduce costs, minimise waste.
  • Risk assessments, HAZOP studies.
  • Compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaboration with operations, maintenance teams.
  • Equipment specification and selection.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Process Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Process simulation software proficiency (Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
  • Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles.
  • Safety and environmental regulations knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specification.
Process Safety Engineer – Reading

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead process hazard analyses (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA).
  • Develop, implement PSM programmes.
  • Compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Safety audits, inspections, corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents and near‑misses; root‑cause analysis.
  • Develop and deliver safety training.
  • Review engineering designs for safety implications.
  • Promote proactive safety culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5 years experience in process safety engineering, within Oil & Gas.
  • In‑depth knowledge of process safety principles.
  • Hazard identification, risk assessment experience.
  • Familiar with international safety standards (Seveso, OSHA PSM).
  • Analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Professional safety certification (CSP, CIOSH) a plus.
Senior Reservoir Engineer – Reading

Key responsibilities:

  • Advanced reservoir characterisation, dynamic simulations.
  • Performance analysis, production strategy development.
  • Well performance analysis, remedial recommendations.
  • Exploration and development opportunities.
  • Technical reports, presentations, management recommendations.
  • Mentor junior engineers.
  • Stay abreast of latest technologies.
  • Ensure safe and efficient reservoir operations.
  • Peer reviews and technical committees participation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
  • 8+ years relevant experience in reservoir engineering.
  • Experience with ECLIPSE, INTERSECT, CMG.
  • Strong porg characterization, petrophysics, sedimentology.
  • Reserve estimation methodologies, fluid property expertise.
  • Experience with EOR and production optimisation.
  • Statistics and data analysis proficiency.
  • Analytical, problem‑solving and critical thinking.
  • Strong written, verbal communication.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK, full‑time in Reading.
