THE ROLE

The Strategy Consultant at GAIN Experience is responsible for leading on our strategic programmes of work and building strong relationships with clients to plan and deliver strategic roadmaps through best in class UX, Design and Tech. They also win new work and deliver industry leading thought leadership.

  • 7+ years’ experience working in UX, Design, Technology or Experience Delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Roadmaps across Key Accounts
  • Rapidly develop an understanding of our client’s business environment and strategy by facilitating workshops and activities with stakeholders to map and understand business and product ecosystems.
  • Act as a client partner, championing content/storytelling/providing digital innovation whenever possible.
  • Oversee audience research activities and support the analysis and translation of insights.
  • Support in the development of clear and engaging Strategic visions to inspire both clients and practitioners to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Assemble strategic insights into presentation materials and be able to lead executive client presentations.
  • Motivate individuals and promote an exciting atmosphere and good team spirit on projects.
  • Select and design appropriate frameworks and approaches to use in solving client problems.
  • Craft briefs and develop roadmaps for clients UX, design and tech development.
  • Play an active role in annual planning and goal‑setting processes to continue the evolution and innovation of our clients’ digital experiences.
Commercially Support New Client Acquisition and Build Existing Client Revenue
  • Develop long lasting client relationships delivered against their strategic goals and provide strong return on investment for GAIN Experience.
  • Contribute to new business development by leading on large program development that solves potential clients’ problems and supporting proposals, pitches and pitch activities.
  • Work in partnership with the commercial team to produce client roadmaps, analyse clients to uncover opportunities to stimulate growth and deepen relationships through achieving commercial success in partnership.
  • Contribute to client proposals and provide strategic guidance to account managers by designing projects that meet client briefs and objectives.
Deliver Ground‑breaking Experiences
  • Take a lead in evolving GAIN Experience’s products, services and processes.
  • Write clear briefs that inspire team members to create exceptional work.
  • Encouraging junior team members to learn and grow within their role by thinking strategically.
  • Producing inventive ideas with the wider business to improve the performance of GAIN’s strategic delivery.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
  • Spot new trends and understand new technologies whilst having a passion for understanding the roles they play in consumer’s and citizen’s lives.
  • Attend key conferences, deliver seminars and presentations to build on your personal profile and consolidating GAIN Experience’s market position as leaders in the UX and digital design field.
  • Mentor, teach, evangelise UX, Strategy, experience delivery and design thinking both internally and externally with clients and peer networks.
  • Develop our service offering bringing innovation to services and communications to help ensure that we continue to provide cutting‑edge services that are best in class.
Mentoring and Training other consultants
  • Coach and mentor other consultants in all aspects of user experience, consultancy and client delivery during specific project work.
  • Take responsibility for mentoring and developing a small number of consultants on a continuous basis ensuring their knowledge and skill set develops.
  • Feed into appraisals and development plans for consultants who are continuously mentored by yourself.
