As Front End & UX Developer you will be responsible for delivering modern, accessible, and scalable user interfaces using low‑code/no‑code platforms and component libraries. The role focuses on rapid application delivery, integrating with enterprise data sources, implementing robust UI/UX practices, and ensuring maintainability, governance, and security across the low‑code ecosystem.
Responsibilities to include:
- Low-Code/No-Code Front-End Delivery
- Build responsive applications, portals, and dashboards using platforms such as Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas/Model‑Driven), Power Pages, or Toca
- Create reusable UI components and design system elements aligned to brand standards.
- Implement forms, navigation, conditional logic, data validation, and role‑based views with a focus on accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).
- Integration & Data
- Connect front‑end experiences to Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, REST APIs, and third‑party services.
- Use Power Automate (or platform equivalents) to orchestrate workflows and front‑end events.
- Handle environment variables, secrets, and configuration for different environments (Dev/Test/Prod).
- UX & Accessibility
- Conduct lightweight user research, task flows, and wireframing.
- Apply UX heuristics, responsive breakpoints, keyboard navigation, and semantic structures.
- Governance, Security & Compliance
- Follow organizational ALM practices (solutioning, environments, pipelines).
- Implement role‑based access control (RBAC) and data loss prevention (DLP) policies.
- Adhere to compliance standards (e.g., GDPR) and audit requirements; maintain documentation.
- Quality Engineering
- Write unit/integration tests where supported; configure environment‑aware testing.
- Set up CI/CD for low‑code solutions (e.g., Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps).
- Monitor performance; profile and optimise front‑end load times and interactions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with product owners, business analysts, and subject matter experts to refine requirements.
- Translate business needs into front‑end solutions and prototypes; facilitate UAT.
Provide demos, training materials, and handover documentation for support teams.
Required Skills and Experience
- Low‑Code/No‑Code Front‑End: 2–4+ years delivering production apps with one or more platforms (Power Apps/Pages, Webflow, Toca, etc).
- UI Engineering Fundamentals: Responsive design, component‑driven development, state management within low‑code frameworks, performance optimisation.
- APIs & Data: REST, JSON, OData; data modelling in Dataverse/SQL; basic ETL concepts.
- UX & Accessibility: Wireframing, prototyping, WCAG 2.1 AA, design tokens, and style guides.
- Testing & DevOps: Familiarity with environment strategies, pipelines, and version control.
- Documentation & Communication: Clear technical writing; ability to present to non‑technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Power BI embedded visuals, custom connectors, or PCF controls.
- Knowledge of ALM Accelerator for Power Platform, Azure Functions, or serverless back‑ends.
- Understanding of security & compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2) and DLP policy design.
- Experience in enterprise design systems and accessibility audits.
Education & Certifications (Flexible)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, HCI, Design, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- Certifications (a plus): Microsoft Power Platform App Maker (PL‑100), Power Platform Developer (PL‑400), Toca Certified Developer.
- Delivery Velocity: % of features delivered on time; cycle time from idea to deployment.
- Quality & Stability: Defect rate post‑release; app performance benchmarks; accessibility scores.
- User Adoption: Monthly active users, task completion rates, and user satisfaction (CSAT).
- Governance Compliance: Pipeline adherence, documentation completeness, and audit readiness.
- Reusability: Number of reusable components/templates adopted across teams.
