We’re looking for freelance support to help oversee and manage paid campaigns across LinkedIn and Google for our small to midsize B2B clients. This role requires someone who can get stuck in. You’ll be hands‑on with execution as well as oversight, making changes directly in‑platform and collaborating closely with our Head of Strategy and the wider team.

Summary of the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Digital Campaign Manager to support our growing agency on a freelance basis. Your goal is to lead paid campaign planning, implementation, and optimisation.

You’ll need to think strategically, understanding how each element and channel supports the other and have advanced knowledge of PPC/performance marketing, particularly on LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads. The work division will be roughly 80% with LinkedIn and 20% with Google.

Experience with the latest LinkedIn technical requirements & tactics is especially valued.

We’re a HubSpot partner agency, so familiarity with the platform is a plus. This is a collaborative role, so you’ll need to be confident, proactive, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.

Job requirements

Responsibilities

  • Support the Strategy team in planning, delivering, and managing paid campaign activity (e.g. Google PPC, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Brief and review the creative team’s outputs. You will not be expected to create the ad visuals/copy.
  • Execute and optimise paid campaigns directly in-platform.
  • Set up and manage conversion tracking including offline conversion imports, HubSpot integration, lead stage optimisation, and Google Analytics 4.
  • Analyse and report on campaign performance, identifying and prioritising areas for improvement.
  • Identify and deliver digital cross‑sell opportunities to support account growth.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure cohesive, timely execution.
  • Translate ambiguous goals into robust plans with measurable outcomes.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of demand generation fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of PPC and performance marketing fundamentals.
  • Experience planning, setting, and managing budgets for paid advertising campaigns.
  • LinkedIn Ads expertise: campaign strategy and planning, creative briefing, audience building and exclusion hygiene, bidding strategy and management, and retargeting.
  • Google Ads expertise: campaign and ad group planning, keyword strategy and clustering, best practice setup, landing page and ad optimisation, and regular management (keyword exclusions, bidding, quality score optimisation, etc.).
  • 3+ years of impactful PPC/Performance Marketing experience in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
  • Highly analytical, yet creative; confident and positive.
  • High attention to detail and a passion for PPC.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt as techniques evolve.
