The Role:

This job is based out of our Bedford HQ/Branch – MK41 0LF and supports the R&D, Windows, Glass and general production departments by manufacturing various products.

Role Overview:
Manufacturing & Production
  • Manufacture replacement parts and components to specification.
  • Manufacture sealed glass units on a production line to specification.
  • Carry out fabrication and assembly processes in line with company procedures and specifications
  • Produce bespoke products and one-off projects as required by the business.
  • Support the manufacture of humanitarian products in line with design, quality, and safety standards.
  • Manufacture small-batch product lines, ensuring consistency and quality.
Technical & Design Support
  • Work with the Technical Supervisor and Design team to support new product development and prototypes.
  • Assist with design changes and improvements to existing products.
  • Interpret technical drawings, measurements, and specifications accurately.
Materials & Equipment
  • Work with new and existing materials, selecting appropriate methods and tools.
  • Use woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Support testing and evaluation of materials and construction methods.
Quality, Health & Safety
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and specifications.
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures, safe systems of work, and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
Collaboration & Support
  • Liaise with Production, Design, Warehouse, and Operations teams to support project timelines.
  • Support ad hoc projects and operational requirements as needed.
Requirements:
  • Strong practical skills with woodworking tools and machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter in a manufacturing, workshop, or bespoke environment is desirable
What We Offer:
  • Monday – Thursday 07:30-16:30 and Friday 07:30 – 13:30
