PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting project financial management through accurate billing, accounts receivable tracking, job cost analysis, and reporting. This role ensures that all project billing and waiver documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered in a timely manner. The Financial Analyst collaborates with Project Managers, Accounting, and Owners/Franchisees to maintain financial integrity and transparency across all projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Billing & Invoicing
  • Review project billings with Project Managers at the end of each month (28th–30th).
  • Create, send, and post monthly invoices to Owners/Franchisees before the 1st of each month.
  • Manage AIA billing processes, including reconciling G703 against the Change Order log, preparing pencil copies for PM review, and finalizing invoices for approval.
  • Prepare and organize unconditional waivers, affidavits, and other required documents for owner payment applications.
  • Manage Presite‑Survey process, including invoice review, billing to owners, posting invoices in ERP, and Cash Receipts.
Accounts Receivable (AR) & Collections
  • Review and maintain AR and billing records, ensuring timely collection of outstanding items.
  • Track and reconcile AR (Owner Billings) vs. Job Cost (AP) on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and maintain AR binders and digital filing systems for billing and payment documentation.
  • Support monthly cash flow forecasting based on project billings, collections, and expenditures.
  • Provide accurate financial data to management for decision‑making and reporting purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation of qualification statements and other financial documents for contracts or lenders.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Consolidate progress and final unconditional waivers into complete packet forms for Owners/Franchisees.
  • Attend project kickoff meetings to understand billing, lien waiver, and compliance requirements.
  • Update accounting team and maintain documentation for specific owner billing and waiver requirements.
Banking & Administrative Support
  • Support registration processes including tax filings, workers’ compensation registration, and license research.
  • Assist in general accounting and administrative duties to support financial operations as neededli>

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or construction finance preferred.
  • Experience with AIA billing and project‑based accounting is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Foundation, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Understanding of construction billing processes, lien waivers, and job cost tracking.
Professional Skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with Project Managers, Owners, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial data.
