Strengthen Our Future.**This finance role provides a unique pathway for a Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Member or descendant to build the financial, strategic, and leadership capabilities necessary to grow toward an executive-level Finance position.As the Finance Specialist, you will work directly with the VP of Finance and senior leadership to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, capital planning, budgeting, compliance, and strategic financial decision-making across Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Hinckley.You will contribute meaningful work from day one while receiving mentorship, structured development, and progressive responsibility designed to prepare you for a future Vice President of Finance or comparable senior leadership role.**What You’ll Do****Strategic Finance Support*** Assist in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting activities that guide organizational decision-making.* Participate in development and refinement of financial processes that support Grand Casino’s growth and long-term strategy.* Contribute to capital planning reviews, preparing analyses, summaries, and presentations.* Support continuous improvement efforts for financial systems and controls, including Workday ERP utilization.**Budgeting + Reporting*** Assist with departmental budget preparation, variance analysis, and trend reporting.* Compile data for financial reporting packages and help streamline reporting processes.* Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles in collaboration with Finance leadership.**Operational + Compliance Alignment*** Work closely with accounting, procurement, compliance, and treasury to understand cross-functional financial operations.* Participate in assessing internal controls, compliance standards, and risk mitigation processes.* Learn and apply principles of GAAP, gaming compliance, and financial policies specific to the gaming industry.**What It Takes to Shine**You’re a curious, analytical, and values-driven professional eager to grow into an executive finance role.
