Finance Director page is loaded## Finance Directorlocations: Northern Ireland - Belfasttime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 4 Days Agojob requisition id: R51022**Omegro Business Unit:**VBU - Worldwide Chain Stores**Job Description:****The main duties will include (but are not limited to):*** Contribute to the achievement of the company’s business objectives by providing strategic advice and guidance.* Monitor and interpret key commercial and operational metrics (e.g., margin drivers, customer profitability, utilisation, cost-to-serve) and proactively identify opportunities to improve financial performance, partnering with business leaders to implement actions that optimise results.* Lead the development of long-range financial and commercial forecasts, building dynamic models that assess strategic options and market scenarios, and translate these into a clear financial roadmap outlining the actions required to achieve medium- and long-term targets.**Closely work alongside the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to:*** Prepare detailed quarterly forecasts with accompanying analysis.* Provide detailed financial and scenario analysis to offer useful insight to inform key business decisions.* Provide variance analysis on monthly and quarterly results.* Embed financial understanding at all levels across the business.* Direct and control the finance team to ensure they are appropriately motivated and developed to carry out their responsibilities, including people management of direct/indirect reports (establishing scorecards, KPI’s and monitoring and measuring progress).* Manage the business’ relationship with internal legal counsel, ensuring legal obligations are met.* Review deliverables for PLC reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.* Oversee the business’ compliance and regulatory responsibilities in multiple jurisdictions, including local audit and tax compliance.* Ensure effective accounting systems and processes are in place across the business in compliance with PLC governance responsibilities.* Proactively work on own talent development to ensure up to date awareness of profession and industry trends and changes.* Produce and provide ad hoc finance related reports as required and carry out ad hoc projects.* Travel to offices in other locations (international) to provide finance support or attend events, as required.* Perform any other reasonable duties as required.* Degree in Accountancy or equivalent and at least 10 years of accounting/finance work experience (At least 5 years must be senior management level), including completion of a relevant professional qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA).* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Experience of data analysis, modelling, and reporting.* Working knowledge of IFRS accounting.* Excellent IT skills including high proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Microsoft Excel.* Experience of working to tight deadlines.
