Job summary

A global facilities management specialist seeks a Finance Assistant for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Greater London. In this role, you will support financial performance management for a key client, produce detailed financial reports, and assist with managing client invoices while ensuring adherence to safety and compliance regulations. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with previous finance experience being advantageous.

About the Role

Be part of our facilities management business that supports leading organisations across the public and private sectors worldwide. Join our community of Finance Business Partners, providing financial support to Facilities Management on‑site teams for a key client. You will assist in managing and monitoring the financial performance of a key client and provide the Client Services Finance Business Partner and the wider client service team with accurate financial data at regular intervals and as required. Reporting will include producing both internal and external client accounting report packs. Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Produce monthly client management packs for client for presentation to relevant contract managers and the portfolio director.
  • Assist in the production of monthly departmental management account and internal financial review packs for client accounts.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Validate client invoices in accordance with agreed processes and procedures.
  • Ensure all Purchase Orders (PO’s) are raised and coded to the correct nominal codes, and assisting local FM’s with any training issues on Proactis for the relevant clients.
  • Assist in the production of monthly and yearly management and statutory accounts in line with Macro group financial deadlines.
  • Provide ad hoc reports on an as required.
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and with due regard for others, in accordance with HS&E procedures, contractual, legislative, and local requirements.
  • Report immediately any non‑conformance, unsafe act, or unsafe condition to line management for investigation and corrective action.
  • Attend regular finance meetings with all members of the Macro finance team.
  • Provide further support as and when required.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients, suppliers, the corporate accounts team, and the management team, ensuring a consistently satisfactorily level of service.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Articulate, highly numerate, with strong analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and knowledge of accruals and prepayments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Experience of using Sage Intacct is desirable.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and suppliers at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Experience working in the region and industry is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • A degree qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Professional memberships are an advantage but are not essential.
