Qualifications

• Field service engineers required with NVQ level 3 in Plant Engineering or 10 years of experience.
• Skill in troubleshooting and solving mechanical problems in JCB machinery.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite customer support for machinery.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers.
• Supervise apprentices to ensure quality and safety.

Skills

10 years of relevant experience within Plant/Land based mechanics

Ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant JCB machines

Job description

Based in Farnham, Hemel, Braintree, Burgess Hill, Thatcham or the Midlands

We are looking for experienced Field Service Engineers based at four of our depots: Farnham, Hemel, Braintree, Burgess Hill or Thatcham. We are also looking experienced Field Service Engineers to cover the Midlands region. The role will be responsible for servicing and repairing JCB construction plant and equipment to an extensive and varied customer base throughout the South East of England.

• Onsite customer support to our range of machinery within the region
• Keeping machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections
• Completing jobs to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
• Have the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
• Supervising Apprentices, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures are maintained

Key skills we are looking for:

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Plant/Land Base Mechanical Engineering
