Are you an experienced facilities and maintenance professional ready to take ownership of a brand-new site? Do you thrive in a role where compliance, safety and operational excellence are key? Looking for an opportunity to lead and shape facilities management on a major retail contract?

Here at GXO Logistics, we’re looking for a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to join our team at Wellingborough, supporting our newly acquired B&Q Bathroom Fulfilment Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage all site services, from building and grounds maintenance to security, utilities and compliance, while driving efficiency and supporting a safe working environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00. However, some flexibility will be required, as this is logistics, after all!

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £48,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), and you may buy additional days to suit your work‑life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • Manage all site services including maintenance, security, cleaning, utilities and space planning
  • Ensure compliance with legal, environmental and health & safety regulations
  • Oversee contractor control, permits to work and emergency procedures
  • Project manage refurbishments, renovations and office moves
  • Maintain records for inspections, tests and repairs to meet compliance standards
  • Control departmental budgets and deliver cost‑effective solutions
  • Chairул site meetings and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Experience in a facilities/maintenance management role
  • Technical knowledge of hard and soft building services
  • Strong understanding of QSHE and security practices
  • Experience managing third‑party contracts and KPIs
  • RQF Level 3, IWFM Certificate and IOSH Managing Safely (essential)
  • 18th Edition Wiring and foundation degree in engineering (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and deliver operational improvements
