Overall purpose of the role:
Reporting directly to the Events Production Manager, your main focus as Events Production Assistant, will be to support the Events team with the planning and execution of Live Events, Broadcasts, as well as general tech support within Samsung KX. A flexible attitude is required to deliver on tight deadlines without compromising on the standard of work.
Depending on the event requirements, you will be responsible for ensuring the assembly of all assets required to deliver an on‑brand and successful event. You will set up and deliver across multiple platforms both in venue and online on the most popular social channels as well as streaming software such as OBS combined with an ATEM switcher. You should have experience within your field and be highly capable of learning new ways of working to the standards we set ensuring we stay ahead of the curve whilst delivering best in class experiences.
Your performance in this role as part of the Events Production Team will enable live events to proceed smoothly and efficiently and you will review jobs with colleagues to ensure that the equipment specified can fulfil requirements. You must be confident, able to remain calm under pressure and will have a brilliant mix of technical delivery where necessary. You should be a team player and a problem solver both within planning and live delivery. The role requires the ability to work effectively with many types of people within the AV and Events space, from large scale media companies to independents. We’re looking for someone with direct production experience who can provide technical support and guidance to events and conferences at all scales and sizes.
This is a hands‑on role and will require someone who is comfortable being client‑facing, as you will be involved throughout the entire events process, as well as facilitating the delivery on site. This is a rota based role, and requires someone who is available to work across the whole week (including weekends), but this can range from 7am to 10pm depending on business needs.
Key responsibilities
- Live events, including to assist with assembling, preparing, and setting up equipment prior to filming
- Help with the setup and operation of professional camera equipment such as Sony and Blackmagic
- Assist, where needed, with basic operation of audio and lighting systems, including the Yamaha QL1 mixer, ChamSys lighting desk, and playback or media systems such as Green Hippo, with opportunities to develop these skills over time
- Broadcast support via assistance with the setup and delivery of broadcast sessions, troubleshoot technical or practical issues during rehearsals and live broadcasts, escalating where necessary
- Assist with pre‑broadcast checks, including audio levels, streaming platform set up, and connection tests to ensure all elements are ready before going live
- Tech and operational set‑up, including to help manage equipment storage and movement, including lifting, carrying etc. Support the technical team with routine checks on in‑store displays, playback systems, and hardware
- Provide additional hands‑on assistance during Samsung Unpacked events, helping prepare staging, technical zones, audience layouts, product display areas, and event infrastructure in line with production needs
- Being able to troubleshoot technical issues with any onsite Experiences and product installations, and escalating them accordingly when required

Who are we looking for
- Relevant prior experience working in live event production although needed training will be provided
- Knowledge of equipment and capable of operating, rigging and derigging
- Strong interest in Samsung and what we were trying to achieve, as well as strong brand awareness
- You’ll know the type of events/broadcasts that are going to be suitable for our audiences and have a plan of how we deliver these

Role Requirements
- This role is based in London, at Samsung KX, King’s Cross area, London
- This role may require support across our locations, including but not limited to, Harrods, Selfridges and Samsung HQ
- Availability to work across all seven days of the week, including weekends and holidays
- Be prepared to work outside of normal trading hours as needed to meet business demands, this can range from 7am to 10pm
- Any changes to working location will be scheduled by the Events Manager
