Job description

The role of the Engineering Supervisor is to deliver a proactive engineering strategy through the maintenance team via planning and scheduling preventative maintenance tasks. You will ensure stock levels are maintained at an effective level to allow for preventative and reactive maintenance tasks as appropriate and service contracts are in place and maintained to support the maintenance team.

Your main accountabilities will be to:

  • Deliver proactive instead of reactive strategy to maintenance systems & teams.
  • Support shift teams for serious factory issues or where your support will lessen any downtime issues.
  • Plan day to day activities of the shift teams via the TL’s.
  • Ensure parts are available and all used stock is restocked.
  • Ensure stock levels of parts are correct at all times and stores are maintained correctly.
  • Continuous improvement of maintenance systems.
  • Support with shorter term strategic/weekend/daily task planning.
  • Ensure inspections are completed on time and all corrective action reports are delivered.
  • Ensure service contracts are in place to deliver the correct support for maintenance and manage service providers as necessary.
  • Support site improvements of any environmental tasks that are undertaken.

      • Reviewing Breakdowns via RCA
      • Reviewing effectiveness of online inspections
      • Reviewing effectiveness of offline inspections
      • Deliver Effective Maintenance Routines
      • Deliver effective communications via the morning meetings
    • Your Focus (Each Supervisor Will Have 2) areas are reviewed for
      • Outstanding Work
      • Maintenance Systems
    • Stores are maintained Via
      • Orders raised on time and accurately
      • Shift Teams Using Stores Correctly
      • Parts are recorded
      • All Stock Is Accurately Detailed
      • Cycle Counts Are Undertaken
      • Deliveries Are Put Away Promptly
      • Parts For Delivery Are Chased In A Timely Manner
      • Tie MMP Parts Requests In to Stock Requirements
    • Assist in daily planning
