A leading UK consultancy is seeking a Utility Consulting Engineer to join its Design team based in Gerrards Cross. This role involves managing utility connections for various projects, conducting feasibility studies, and liaising with suppliers. Ideal candidates will have experience in the utility industry, a degree in engineering, and a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks. We're looking for a Utility Consulting Engineer to join our Design team based in Gerrards Cross. Kier Design are a top‑25 engineering consultancy, delivering a wide range of services across all sectors of the built environment, providing construction‑focused, innovative and sustainable solutions. We have preferential access to Kier’s £11bn+ project pipeline, including mega projects like High Speed 2 and Hinkley Point C, frameworks with national and local government and other public bodies, and a range of other interesting projects in every sector of the built environment.

As a Utility Consulting Engineer, you’ll be working within the Mechanical Electrical and Technology team, advising clients (developers, businesses) on managing electricity, gas, water, and telecoms, handling everything from initial feasibility, design, and procurement to managing connections, ensuring compliance, reducing costs, and achieving efficiency/net‑zero goals, bridging the gap between client needs and utility companies.
