Qualifications

  • Apprentice trained in a similar position ideally.
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues.
  • Experience in defect rectification and routine maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime.
  • Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on site.
  • Work on various types of equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems.

Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer

4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 630am to 6:30pm

£53,558 (including shift allowance) + benefits

What's the mission?

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 630am to 6:30pm.

What are the mission‑critical skills?
  • Apprentice trained in a similar position ideally
  • Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3, 18th Edition or equivalent is desirable)
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Practical hands‑on approach.
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production
  • PLC And VSD Knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage
