A leading UK health and social care charity is seeking dedicated individuals to provide support to residents with learning disabilities in Warrington. This role involves assisting with daily living and personal care and offering companionship through activities and outings. The ideal candidates will have a compassionate approach and a willingness to learn. The charity values investment in its workforce and offers flexible working hours, training, and benefits to ensure a supportive work environment.
What makes Community Integrated Care a great place to work:
Do you want to make a difference in someone else’s life? Do you want to work for a charity that really value their people?
One of the values of Community Integrated Care is our passion for our people and every year we invest in our front-line worker pay in line with the Living Wage increase each April. Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues.
Benefits & USP’s:
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of “Your Life, Your Choice” and our strategy “Best Lives Possible”.
We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards! We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Who will you be supporting?
The people we support are aged between 55 and 70. We all have a learning disability, and two of us also have visual impairments. We each experience some mobility restrictions and require varying levels of support with personal care. Currently, three people live here, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming a new housemate in the near future.
What is important to us?
We enjoy looking good and feeling our best, whether we’re heading out or relaxing at home. We love getting out and about — there’s a nearby park with a duck pond that’s perfect for gentle walks, and we also enjoy going out for meals, scenic car rides, and visiting garden centres. Music is a big favourite for us too!
Just as much, we value everyday pleasures like shopping, watching TV, or listening to music in the comfort of our home. We’re always open to new ideas and experiences and are happy to try something new — you never know what might become a new favourite!
🌟 Got heart? You’re halfway there. At Community Integrated Care, we know it takes someone special to work in social care. We hire based on skills and values, welcoming people from all walks of life with a varied support background.
