A local family support organization is seeking a Family Help Worker to provide assistance to families with children and young people in Northumberland. This full-time role requires a strong understanding of child development, experience with Early Help processes, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. We are looking to recruit a Family Help Worker (Early Help) to support families with children and young people 0-19 within Northumberland's Supporting Families Framework. The vacancy is to support children and families across the Central Northumberland Locality covering Ashington, Bedlington, Choppington, Newbiggin & Morpeth areas. This exciting opportunity will be to work with any children & young people. There is one full time position (37 hours per week) available.
Working within an established team, we are looking for self‑motivated and responsible applicants, with good communication skills. You will enjoy working as part of a team but also be able to use your own initiative and work independently to manage your commitments and organise your time.
You will need to be competent in working directly with children and families, completing assessments, leading family plans and be able to work effectively alongside our partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.

The role is office based, with some flexibility to work from home at times, agreed through your line manager.
