A bit about the job

You’ll join our Global Corporate & Specialty Pricing team, supporting the Probitas Lloyd’s syndicate, part of Aviva following acquisition. The team works closely with underwriters to set technically sound prices for complex insurance risks in the London Market. This role exists to support day‑to‑day case pricing, maintain pricing tools, and contribute to wider pricing and data projects. You’ll help ensure pricing decisions are robust, well‑documented, and clearly explained. Over time, you’ll build strong technical foundations and confidence working with underwriters and senior stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

• Pricing individual insurance accounts alongside underwriters
• Supporting technical pricing decisions using data and models
• Maintaining and improving pricing and rating tools
• Analysing pricing data to support model and assumption changes
• Preparing clear reports explaining pricing outcomes
• Supporting wider pricing, data, and transformation projects
• Using pricing platforms, including hx Renew (Hyperexponential)
• Contributing to automation and AI‑enabled initiatives

Skills and experience we’re looking for

• A maths or science‑based degree, such as Maths, Actuarial Science, Physics, or Engineering. Or studying towards the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) qualifications, or having passed one or more actuarial exams, with a clear intention to continue.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn
• Exposure to insurance, consulting, or data‑driven roles
• Interest in learning tools such as Python
