Working pattern: This is a full-time post working 37 hours; however, we will move to a 35-hour working week on 1 March 2026. About the role
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Digital Services Office as a Digital Portfolio Manager. To see where the office sits within the organisation, you can view our organisation chart here.
Digital Services is made up of around 70 staff. As Digital Portfolio Manager, you’ll lead a team consisting of 1 PMO Analyst and 5 Project Managers driving the successful delivery of digital change and ensuring real value for the organisation.
In a relatively small but ambitious organisation, this role offers real breadth – combining Digital Portfolio leadership with hands‑on involvement across a diverse portfolio of initiatives. As a key member of the Digital Services Management Team, you’ll work collaboratively with colleagues to continually enhance our delivery approach and strengthen outcomes across the Parliament.

You’ll also champion collaborative working with colleagues across the parliamentary service, promoting positive and open communication, as well as our commitment to diversity and inclusion.

About you
You’ll bring proven experience in leading and managing complex portfolios, projects, and a Digital Portfolio Office, using your deep knowledge of methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP and Agile. With advanced technical skills in project management tools, data analysis and insightful reporting, you’ll enable confident and informed decision‑making across the organisation. Your strengths in resource planning, risk management and benefits realisation will ensure delivery remains aligned to strategic goals and consistently demonstrates real value. You’ll also excel in communication and stakeholder engagement, building strong relationships and influencing effectively at every level.
As a leader and manager, you’ll be resilient and inspire colleagues to deliver high performance results in line with our values. You’ll have a proven track record of working inclusively with a diverse range of people and groups. You’ll have outstanding mentoring and coaching skills and be passionate about contributing to an inclusive and collaborative working culture which values diversity and encourages openness.
