An educational advisory team in Oxfordshire is seeking an Early Years Leader to strategically enhance early education quality across the region. This role involves leading initiatives on literacy and supporting schools through direct engagement and training. Candidates are expected to have Qualified Teacher Status and significant experience in a senior position, making a lasting impact on children's educational outcomes. The role may include flexible working options and emphasizes a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
We are a small advisory team working with early years providers to ensure high quality early education and childcare across Oxfordshire. We are part of the education team within Children and Family's Directorate.
The post includes working with school leaders including governors and practitioners. As this is a Lead role, the specialist will be required to strategically lead on the given area within the team such as literacy or improving outcomes for disadvantaged children.
The purpose of the role is to work with schools and settings to ensure and promote high quality and inclusive early years education and childcare across Oxfordshire through targeted visits, training and commissioning.
We are looking for a well-qualified and highly experienced Early Years Leader (must be a qualified teacher - QTS) who is working in a senior position within a school e.g. Headteacher or member of SLT. A good knowledge of how young children learn and develop is essential. Applicants should be able to demonstrate supportive work with other schools and settings. The candidate should be able to work effectively within a team and should be competent in ICT, meet deadlines and able to work from home.
