There’s no place like St. Andrew’s!
We truly believe that there’s no place at St. Andrew’s! We provide the very best opportunities for all our pupils, to engage them through first‑hand experiences and to enrich their curriculum as widely as possible. We work together to create an environment for learning, through a blended approach, that allows our children to be happy and safe; an environment that allows stimulating, interactive, experiential play and learning opportunities fit for the 21st Century. St. Andrew’s prides itself on being at the heart of its community; situated on the eastern side of Newport it is a large primary school (capacity for 740 pupils) that serves an area that is socially disadvantaged. At St. Andrew’s, one strength is the positive ethos and team spirit; we believe that diversity is a strength, to be respected and celebrated by all those who learn, teach and visit here. St. Andrew’s Primary School’s ethos and high‑quality inclusion for pupils with ALN are a significant strength of the school. We aim to ensure that everyone has the same chances and opportunities irrespective of race, sex, class or disability. Our school motto is ‘Learning together, we reach for the stars’.
The role will be initially based in a specialist Learning Resource Base mixed‑age KS2 class this academic year.
